This work was dedicated to Sol Lewitt. A leaflet placed at the beginning of this project by Wally Depew states the following with regard to his wife, Linda. "The box and the eight page, single sheet, folded books were cut, folded and formed by Linda. Linda Words Poem was coloured and painted by Linda. The sewed books were sewed by Linda. The whole project was overseen, criticized and approved by Linda. Thanks Fee, you keep the fun in life." The works in this project employ a large number of fonts and are particularly focused but not exclusively on transmorfation, e.g., beginning with one word and passing through several alterations of the letters to form another word. This work is a partial summation of the artistic/poetic of Wally and Linda Depew.Obituary Contra Costa Times: Wally Depew, an artist, musician, poet and writer, died August 18, 2007 in Patagonia, Arizona, two months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
