The author/printer used letters, numbers and symbols to create typographical explorations. "Each page of vellum with characteristic dancing type is interspersed with a page holding a central emblem which is also made of type."Doug Kisor writes in the introduction," Unyielding alphabets shaken loose from their disciplined path gather in new patterns. Moody riddles, shifting the tool of the specific into an expressive sign, their existence indicating a place, a path, an idea, a vision, a collective consciousness. Zoomorphic forms that translate into complex stories, embracing whimsy, myth, and ritual."
