Proposal: A Rubbing Post for a Wild Boar / Finlay, Ian Hamilton ; Simig, Pia Maria ; Lyle, Peter., 1997
The proposal was done for a private garden in Provence. The image on the cover is a wild boar. The print depicts a circular post cast in bronze, with plain and rusticated bands alternating, the pattern adapted from Sebastiano Serli's Five Books of Architecture. At the top of the post, are the words, 'AGE QUOD AGIS' - 'What you are doing, do thoroughly.' -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

A bollard is a thick low post on a wharf which is used to moor ships with a rope. This book depicts bollards for a decoration of a Scottish Shopping Centre, The Gyle - Edinburgh. Reproductions of drawings are depicted one to a page. Photographs of sculptures in Little Sparta, Finlay's garden, by David Paterson done on Christmas 1995. Designed by Finlay and Simig. The title of the book, Unsigned, refers to the name of a model boat in Finlay's collection. Waldwachsende Blumen auf den Ehrentempeln Konigsplatz Munchen / Finlay, Ian Hamilton ; Simig, Pia Maria ; Eyres P., 1993
The book begins with a chronology listing Hitler's rise to power and the relation of the building in Munich called Ehrentempel. The end papers consist of a photograph of the building. The right sided pages depict drawings of wild flowers, the left sided the names of the flowers.
