The curator, Huston Pascal, contributed an exceptionally perceptive essay on Phillips works. Tom Phillips' self-portrait of his face also appears on the catalogue cover of his exhibition, New Drawings and Prints, 1975-1976, Welsh Art Council. Although the colophon is numbered 25/100, Phillips signed the work 14/100. One of the prints is taken from Phillips' opera "Irma" and has Humument imagery. The prints feature stencilled, empty letters characteristic of one of Phillips' styles. These are depicted in Tom Phillips: Works Texts To 1974, page 260-261. Phillips mentions that this wotk was first performed by John Tilbury in 1971. The Humument fragments read "quite high - intonation devine time (top print) and "tr - Low and high divisions - s- the hiss of cheeks (bottom print). -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

Scope and Contents Wikipedia: Callow was born in Streatham, London, England, UK, the son of Yvonne Mary (née Guise), a secretary, and Neil Francis Callow, a businessman. His father was of English and French descent and his mother was of Danish and German ancestry. He was brought up Roman Catholic.Callow attended the London Oratory School and then went on to study at Queen's University Belfast ('Queen's') in Northern Ireland before giving up his degree course to go into acting at the Drama Centre London. Callow's immersion in the theatre began after he wrote a fan letter to Sir Laurence Olivier, the Artistic Director of the National Theatre, and received a response suggesting he join their box office staff. It was while watching actors rehearse that he realised he wanted to act.Callow made his stage debut in 1973, appearing in The Thrie Estates at the Assembly Rooms Theatre, Edinburgh. In the early 1970s he joined the Gay Sweatshop theatre company and performed in Martin Sherman's critically acclaimed...

This print was constructed according to rules of the golden section but most of the lines have been erased even though this version is designated as the final proof. The print was not editioned but a musical piece with the same title was cokmposed in 1991.
