This exhibition, curated by Julien Blaine, comprised statements and representative works from several international visual poets that memorialized five "ambassadors" of poetry who died in the past five years. The "ambassadors" were Franco Beltrametti, Julio Campal, Guillermo Deisler, Mathias Goeritz, amd Adriano Spatola. The statements were responses to the questions: What do you speak about in your work? Why the world? What about international exchange? Each poet also submitted an autobiography that was reprinted. Page IX depicts a photographic reproduction of a sculpture, "A" by Bartolome Ferrando that is held by the Sackner Archive. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

Identifier: CC-50193-71257
Scope and Contents This is an anthology of Balestrini's poems and essays from the time he lived in Milan 1975. On Balestrini's website, Andrea Cortellessa writes "Unlike traditional epic, who sings the tale of the origins in tone fabulous because the bard is exactly great distance from the events, this Balestrini is an epic of which is written 'in direct, "and then takes rather tones chronicle. Carnets de Bord: Festival des ecritures / Balestrini N ; Ferrer E ; Hubaut J ; Noel B ; Pey S ; Metail M., 1997

 Item
Identifier: CC-31655-33159
Scope and Contents

The theme of this exhibition was inspired by the 100th anniversary of Mallarme's Un coup de des jamais n'abolira le hasard. Combining music and poetry and preceding the Dadists and Futurists, Mallarme constituted a line that passed to Apollinaire, Michaux, Klee, Max Ernst and Fluxus. This catalogue demonstrates the writing and artistic expression emerging in the century after Mallarme's birth. The works in this catalogue are mainly oriented to calligraphic expressions. The book has extensive illustrations of the latter that are printed in color. The Sackner Archive holds artist books similar in imagery to pages of Hubaut's book reproduced in color in this catalogue. Nanni Balestrini contributed 13 panels of an alphabetical visual poetry piece that are reproduced in color in this catalogue. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
