This book was done while Atchley was teaching at the University of Victoria (1969-1971) in Canada. Although Atchley had a background in fine printing and typesetting, he had dabbled in xerography in Baltimore and conceived of this book as a xerox project. He bought 250 empty three ring notebooks and invited all his friends to contribute up to 10 pages, 250 copies of each page. To encourage participation, the invitation stated that all pages would be included without editing. By the end of the year, there were about 60 contributors. Dana Atchley's "Notebook 1," an assembling, was published in March 1970 about the same time as Assembling No.1, edited by Kostelanetz and Korn. The envelope within the notebook contains ten Fluxus performance direction sheets. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

Ring Peace / Hendricks, Geoff., 1973
This is physically the smallest book published by the Press. Ring Piece documents Hendricks' performance at the 8th Annual New York Avant Garde Festival in 1971. In the middle of Manhattan's 69th Regiment Armory (famous for housing the Armory Show in 1913). Hendricks sat in silent meditation for twelve hours, dressed in a tuxedo atop a mound of dirt under which lay buried various relics of his ten-year marriage to Bici Forbes (aka Bici Hendricks). The relics had been slightly altered (sliced or rent in two) in a ceremony of the divorce itself. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

This exhibition of silkscreen, cloth multiples published by Francisco Conz was curated by Wayne Baerwaldt. It demonstrated several Fluxus conceptions: sharing ideas between artists, a publisher and the public; capturing the ephemeral in Fluxus productions; exposing the ideas of original works which would otherwise remain hidden in private collections. The silkscreen print editions on cloth offer the viewer the opportunity to investigate the contentious nature of Fluxus oriented art. "The editions of large-scale drawings, texts, musical scores, collages, and appropriated images are retouched, or redrawn directly on the silk-screens by the artists, reinforcing what we already know about intermedia, the myriad combinations of literary prose and/or concrete poetry; music and/or sound; theatre and/or performance." The Sackner Archive holds several cloth works by fluxus artists, Lettrists, and concrete poets published by Conz. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
