Rev. Charles Reynolds Brown was born in 1862 in Bethany, WV. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1883 and later studied Theology at Boston University. Brown lectured at various universities and was a pastor at several churches over the years, including the First Congregational Church in Oakland, CA. In 1912 he was the dean of the Yale Divinity School. Brown is the author of 12 books. Passed in November 28, 1950.
