Biographical / Historical
Hattie Phinnette Elston was born on May 13, 1900. She wrote “White Men Follow After: A Collection of Stories About the Okoboji-Spirit Lake Region”, published in 1946. Also wrote “Let’s Do it this Way: A Practical Guide for Newspaper Writers” in 1948. She passed August 7, 1948 in Arnolds Park, IA.
