This handwritten account book dates from August 1901 to April 1904. Although no location is given it is most likely Illinois since the owner subscribed to the Chicago American. This book lists purchases and prices (mainly food and household items, i.e. "rolling pins", or Stamps $.10 etc.) and even meals eaten out. Organized by month and year. There are 142 pages of which 135 are written.
