The Arlene Mineck papers date from 1939 to 2010 and measure 12.25 linear inches. The series is arranged in five series: Biographical, Professional, Artwork and Clippings, Artifacts, and Audiovisual.

The Biographical series (1939-2010) consists of photocopies of Mineck’s marriage certificate, of birth and baptism records, correspondence, and a notebook titled “Church Painting.” Also included are two handwritten memoirs by Mineck (one about the Pearl Harbor attack) and a memoir by Reverend Maas, who was a minister in Lowden, Iowa.

The Professional series (1986-2008) includes newspapers featuring Mineck and her artwork; greeting cards; exhibit invitations; brochures; correspondence to and from customers; lists of paintings displayed and sold at exhibits; exhibit information; and receipts.

The Artwork and Clippings series (1965-2008) consists of paintings, sketches, and magazine clippings, some organized into three binders. A sketchbook and three art journals are also included, along with a 1965 reprint of a booklet entitled The Country Kitchen 1850, which was found in Art Journal II.

The Artifacts series (undated) includes a green box filled with handwritten art lesson plans on index cards. There are also three unfinished landscape paintings on canvas, one of which is 7.5 x 10 inches and two that are 10 x 15.5 inches.

The Audiovisual series (undated) includes 11 discs. The first nine hold digital copies of several of Mineck’s paintings. The final two discs contain a student-made web page about Mineck’s life and artwork as well as audio clips of an interview the student conducted with Mineck.
