Scope and Contents
These are calendar drawings with each day of the month a drawing directly or indirectly gleaned from articles in the NY Times Newspaper. The information leading to the drawing is written in graphite on the verso of the drawing. The April drawing consists of heads, the May drawing text from newspaper article headers, and map drawings from articles. The names of the places from the maps overlap from one day to another to produce a combination name that does not signify a true location, e.g., a foreign country city name meshed with a city name in the United States. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
