Scope and Contents
This unpublished page has been collaged on the upper right hand corner with an exact fragment from another page 213. There are two rings probably from the botton of a coffee cup and several markings in graphite and red pencil. These marks give some indication of how Phillips selects and plays with the text he uses for the new poetry. This preparatory drawing does not appear in "A Humument. The poem reads, "213 blushed - left toge a painless memory, turning to renew The plate--" -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
