Scope and Contents
From a large center figure the shape of a man's head emerges from the interior space created by the surrounding typescripts. Two smaller clusters of type create oval blank spaces.Charles Cameron wrote, "brilliant concrete self-portrait signed dsh done for me & given to me, dated 1964, featuring his head & shoulders as a blank space surrounded by the words "supercool nothing behind my innermost mask" - sylvester was a published authority on zen and frieind of the beats! - with lettra 22 roller / blue carbon effects in background, slight tear & fold, slightly aged, to my mind the finest of his concrete works I've ever seen, both self-portrait and masterpiece". -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
