Werkstatt Breitenbrunn: Druck Materialen 1970-1978, 1978
Scope and Contents
Consists of printed documentation of the activities of the Breitenbrunn group of artist/poets. Includes issues No.2 and 4 of this periodical. The large folded posters are listed as a series entitled Blatt (1-15); these deal with exhibition announcements and printed discussions and/or reproductions of their works. For example, the poster, entitled Blatt 4 has a discussion and examples of the typewriter works by Klaus Basset and a header that it was edited by Wil Frenken & Fria Elfin. Another copy of this poster is also held by the Sackner Archive. Typewriter works by Basset were an early acquisition by the Sackner Archive (1978). Issue No.2, 1968 consists of unbound pages of documentation and four signed prints by Will Frenken, Josef Hermann Steigler, H Hendrich. and Marc Adrian enclosed within a paper envelope. Issue No.4, 1974 consists of a paper envelope. It has four folded photographic posters documenting activities of the group including Timm Ulrichs. A photographic reproduction of the latter's gravestone sculpture epithet, "Try Always to Forget Me" is included in one of these posters. This issue also includes a signed concrete poetic print by G. DeRook which has to be viewed by holding it up to the light so that the markings on the verso are projected to the verso. The unbound pages in this issue include printed, photocopied and mimeographed material that generally are presented as fold-outs. An unnumbered issue entitled, Info 70-78, in a separate envelope includes 12 small folded posters of a numbered series and eight unnumbered small posters that document activities of the group. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
