The editor was the mother of Dan Eldon, a Reuters photographer, who was stoned to death in Somalia in 1993 by a mob reacting to a UN bombing raid on the suspected headquarters of their military leader. She writes an exceptional. poignant biography. The visual/verbal content of Dan Eldon's diaries document his short, full life. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
