This work is a collage of "photographs, diaries, notes, sketches...phantasmagoria, metamorphoses, natural horrors, and prehistoric memories: Last voices of a lost Africa." The works constituted an exhibition in Milan in 1977. There are hundreds of color plates of Beard's diaries and journals made in Africa.
