Scope and Contents
Each page of this found book in Spanish is covered with linear, calligraphic markings in a style reminiscent of Charles Crumb's notebooks. Masullo's signature is written in the center of page 111, just above the number adjacent to the number '781,' the number of his works. In November 2010, showed paintings at Feature NYC, his 12th solo show in a NYC gallery and the first in six years. Roberta Smith, NYT art critic, commented (NYT November 26, 2010) "He is due a small museum survey that would tie together his paintings with the quirky books and collages he made in the 1980, when his work was one of the fresher sights on the East Village art scene.
