This pacifist text by Russell reads, "Since Adam and Eve ate the apple, man has never refrained from any folly of which he was capable." Franciszka Themerson contributed two charming line drawings, one to the encounter with Eve, the other a cartoon on men waging war. The final page is a photograph of the mushroom plume from explosion of an atomic bomb.
