The egg is engraved with the title, perfect imprint, embellished with an original engraving enclosed with a text by Michael Gluck. This book object was delivered with rolled, uncrumpled pages within the shell. Their removal caused them to crumpled. Shareen LaPlantz writes that " the term book arts refers to all types of handcrafted books, including blank books, rebinds, albums, journals, and artists' books. Artists' books are those that combine structure (or technique), format, visual images, and presentation. Text is optional - some artists' books are strictly visual." The artists books are well illustrated in this volume and detailed instructions and diagrams demonstrate how to construct the various bindings. The works are organized by types of bindings, i.e. pamphlet stitch, codex, stitches, stab bindings, fold books, combination books and unusual bindings. The text appears to be an autobiographical account of the artist's youth. All leather work, including tanning, was done by the artist. Aminah Robinson (1940-2015) has also signed some of the books in this production with her given name, Brenda Lynn Robinson.
