Each page has a square to simulate a window. Wavy horizontal lines from bottom to top simulate a water level. The height of the lines progressively increases and decreases as the pages are flipped. The poem printed in black block capital letters across the center of each page reads "Silence oscillating between seen & unseen resonates deafening echoes." The background text consists of densely printed randomly arranged letters printed in several shades of red ink. The covers of the book are printed with a black on gray background letter picture. Large fields of grey-black ink obscure sections of text on pages of a scientific text by Edward Klima dealing with sound and its absence in linguistics, one page to a print. Near the middle of each print, single words apppear in black circumscribed b background white of paper, e.g., silence, entering, insurgencies. Each print also contains a large, fragmented capital letter printed in red.
