On an introductory page, Ulises Carrion states "A book is not a case of words nor a bag of words." The printed pages in this book on varied colored papers have the same nonsense text, "chschs"etc. and "ssss" etc. The text on the leaflet that reads "ventana oda" etc. is meant to be viewed through the perforations behind the various colored cellophane pages. This artist proof copy from an unknown tirage of proofs, was published on the occasion of an exhibition by Caruso. The exhibition was entitled, "Luogo della Immagini del Segno Scrittura." The drawings all consist of three rectangular, vertical striped of white paint with a handwritten graphite caption at their bottoms.
