In the introduction, Helmes writes "In the late 70's I met Ruth and Marvin Sackner and Richard Kostelanetz. This book reproduces Bob Cobbing's "15 Shakespeare Haku." The back cover lists a Declaration of Purpose for the Globe Playhouse Trust. One of its stated purposes was to construct a third Globe Playhouse on or near the original site. This purpose came to fruition in 1997, some 25 years after the printing of this book.
