La Cinquieme Feuille / Blaine, Julien., 2000
The theme of this book, that includes several photographs and pages bold typography, appears to be the interrelationship among the vulva, leaves, and the letter 'Q'. This copy is from an unnumbered edition; 350 copies were numbered and 150 of them contained additional pages of typography. Several themes emerge in this collection of Blaine's works, titled, "The Fifth Leafage." They include the author's notes and descriptions, photographs of performances, illustrations of leaves in various forms, hands, rocks, caves and typographic innovations. The latter depict the 'Q' in different typographic styles, some that suggest sexual intercourse. This copy is from the unsigned run of 200 copies but it is not numbered as it should be. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
