Card depicts a drawn graphite rendition of Jon-Louis David painting of the death of Marat with an added hanging sword over him with the caption "I was published by Jonathan Cape." The latter is a British book publisher who published a book about architectural follies (Follies: A National Trust Guide) in the United Kingdom and cited Finlay's Temple Garden among them. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

The announcement for the November exhibition lists Tom Edmonds as one of five selections for the Young Contemporaries Exhibition 1966. Miroglio sceglie 20 immagini fra cui quella di Marx, Che Guevara, Mao Tse Tung, e molte immagini di Cristo secondo varie rappresentazioni iconografiche (Redentore di S. Apollinare Nuovo, Cristo di S. Sofia, Cristo di Duccio di Buoninsegna.) e le mescola fra di loro utlizzando ora il particolare di una ora quello di un'altra. Così facendoottiene di volta in volta un nuovo volto ibrido. Lo stesso Miroglio aggiunge ironicamente lapropria immagine fra quella di questi volti celebri. Ogni volto e accompagnato da una divertente tabella in cui viene assegnato un voto da 1 a 10 per ciascuna delle caratteristiche...

Scope and Contents This is a collection of Austrian Jewish poetry. Peter Daniel contributes four poems, one titled "the Victims of the Victims" which reads, "At the 50th anniversary of the Anschlussan Austrian politician proclaimed; "Austria was the first victim of Nazi Germany,and the Jews were the victims of the victims."In other words:The Germans were the perpetratorsand the Austrians - who were "victims"-were called upon to sacrificethe Jews.But the politicianfailed to mentionhow willinglythat "sacrifice" was made.The afterward states that the current Jewish population of Austria is 15,000 from a pre WWII total of 200,000. "Before the Holocaust, Jews were in the forefront of Austrian culture. Those Austrian artists and intellectuals who survived continued to make a cultural contribution in the United States, Great Britain and elsewhere. However, after the war, no invitation to return to Austria was extended, and those emigres who came back were not awarded Austrian citizenship. They had to apply...
