Scope and Contents This typing depicts three rectangles formed with red, joined underline marks. The inner portions of the rectangles contain scattered period marks. The image is framed with joined 'at' (@) marks. This work was exhibited in Force Fields: phrases of the kinetic held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Barcelona in 1999 and the Hayward Gallery London in 2000. The work was selected by the Curator, Guy Brett. Internet: The Svayambhu Linga (typed in lower right corner) are temples that contain representations of Shiva that are believed to have risen up by themselves in the primordial past. In the commentary by Nigamajnanadeva on his Jirnoddharadasakam, sixty-eight Svayambhu Lingas are listed Natural (Kailash, Amarnath, Mt. Shivling) Swayambhu Linga. The history of the Valley, according to the legends, begins with Swayambhu, or the "the self-existent". In times uncharted by history, Bodhisattva Manjusri came across a beautiful lake during his travel. He saw a lotus that emitted brilliant...

The artist composed the work on an Olympia Splendid 99. In a personal communication to Marvin Sackner in 2013, Mott stated that his typewritings were influenced by Margaret, his first wife's (died in 1990) weavings plus reading on knots, quipu, etc and not by the reading of Monk's Pond that he was unaware of until the 1980s. A punctuation colon is printed below a drawing of the human colon, half of which is seen though a cut out section. The text on the final page refers to a mathematical axiom e.g. the whole is equal to the sum of its parts.
