The Whalestoe Letters / Danielewski, Mark Z.., 2000
The letters are from Danielewski's monumental novel, "House of Leaves," published as a separate work that demonstrates a mother's love for her son. The letters are written by the fictional character, Pelatina H. Lieve to her son Johnny Truant. The typography changes and fluctates as the mental status of Pelatina deteriorates. The Sackner Archive contains the first edition hard and soft cover bookls of "House of Leaves." -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
