de Charmoy's rubberstamped image of the shape of human lungs surrounding a colored photographic reproduction of a laboratory heart-lung preparation, was created by repetitively overstamping with red inked, leaf and flower images. They serve as a visual metaphor of breathing in the animal and plant kingdoms.
