This exhibition consisted of Catalan artist books, periodicals and graphic designs. The Sackner Archive holds three of the artist books depicted in this catalogue, viz., Brossa and Mikro's 'Oda a Joan Miro,' Zush and DeVree's 'Evumonie Ceremonie Cephalique,' and Oazos and Altaio's 'l'amour latent.' In the image it appears like people are sharing bread. According to a personal communication from Charles Verey to the Sackners, Houedard was alternating his time in Prinknash Abbey and Rome, Italy from October 1951 to July 1954. The artists sent this contact print from one of their last works that was photographed around Marvin Sackner's birthday. Rimma is the subject with her long, curled hair and her hand holding a red string that penetrates her hair and spells out the word "vita" over her left shoulder. In the letter to Marvin, fastened to the back of the matted photograph, The Gerlovinas write, "Ars longer, vita brevis said the elders, you try to prolong both 'vita' with your profession and 'ars' with your collection." -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
