General

The art room on the first floor of the high school was the scene of more redecoration and improvement during the summer this year. Three of Carlton Bump's high school art students are shown in the picture above taking advantage of one of the room's six new modern tables as they look over a sketch made by Ruth Crom, right. The two students looking on are Peg McKinstry, left, and Dave Sellers, center. During the summer the art room was given a new coat of light colored paint, with six large-sized modern tables and chairs added for the students' convenience and use. A new instructor's desk and several filing cabinets were also new additions.; Serving as presidents of the four Washington High School classes this year are these four students. From left to right: standing - Ken Hanson, president of the junior class: Bob Krotz, sophomore, Seated - Bill Grenawalt, senior; and Judy Westen, freshman.; Bill Arthur (right), president of the Washington High School student council this year, is shown chatting with other officers of the organization.
