The Des Moines Register confirms that the "Iowa Farmers Union convention" began on September 16, 1925 in Des Moines, Iowa, and processors were unable to identify any organizations associated with the abbreviation "F.E. and C.W." Based on this research, processors determined that the "C.W." inscribed on this photograph is an error, and the the photograph depicts the Farmers Educational and Cooperative Union as indicated in the item title.
