Includes letters and itinerary documenting a 1980 visit to Iowa by feminist and Mormons for ERA co-founder Sonia Johnson; also includes a small amount of material about Mildred Sloane, a former Iowa Senate clerk who successfully lobbied to change Iowa regulations for massage services, and Edith Johnson, who worked as Iowa governor Clyde L. Herring's executive secretary in the 1930s and, in 1940, became postmaster of Des Moines, making her one of the first women to hold that position in a large urban post office.
