A photograph of Beano is laid in on the inside back cover and a caption on the inside front cover notes that this man, who was a performer in Ripley's "Believe It or Not Show," had perfect control over his vascular circulation so that he could stop blood flow even when purposely cut. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
