Twenty copies of the examples de tete were bound by Knoderer - the Sackner Archive copy is one of these copies. The illustrations by Pageris are semi-realistic, line drawings with a background of black watercolored abstract markings. The bookbinding has sample strips of tooled and painted leather laid into a bimorphic shape whose silhouette has features resembling the side of the human face.
