Piedras Sueltas / Pierres Epareses, 1970
The 22 poems of Octavio Paz, translated into French by Jean-Clarence Lambert, were printed on papermade paper by Milda Krasno. The title means loose or free stones and the handmade papers resemble stones. This deluxe edition was printed on Japanese paper and includes a drawing by Spacagna; the other 10 copies were printed on Arches Fidelis paper and do not include the Spacagna drawing. Arkitu signed his name, Arkitu J-B, on the title page and colophon. The prints appear to have been made from silkscreens since some ot the elements appear on several prints in different colors and locations.
