It was one of a series of seven designs commisioned by the Plastics Division of ICI to demonstrate the potentialities of stamping foils in graphic design. The original title is "The Triumphal Procession of White Clouds Moving Upstream" and calls to mind his Neo Fauve poem from 'Flags From A Remnant Railway' of 1975. It was first printed as a letterpress postcard on the tredle platten press at The Trent Bookshop in 1969.
