This is one of 25 signed and numbered copies. The remaining 25 copies in the run were unsigned. In the introduction, Helmes writes "In the late 70's I met Ruth and Marvin Sackner and Richard Kostelanetz. They, along with Karl Kempton and Kay Arndt, have been critical supporters of my work for which I am continually grateful." The first section in this exceptional catalogue consists of essays by Josep Salvador and Pilar Parcerisas that comment on the Brossa's visual poetic works. The second section contains essays by Jaume Perez Montaner and Pilar Palomer about Brossa's artist books and literary works. Both sections are profusely illustrated. This catalogue also reproduces images from the books "Oda a Joan Miro"1969 and "Tres Joans" 1978 as well as the print, "Poema Visual" [Letter poem enclosed within a piano image] 1982, works held by the Sackner Archive. This is the second edition of poems that were composed from January to July 1953 and first published in Noigandres 2, 1955, a periodical held by the Sackner Archive. The colored text of these poems has its origins in the musical melodies of Anton Webern. Raoul Hausmann's "sound-reel," a sound poem held by the Sackner Archive is depicted on page 146. It depicts the hand writtem added letters, signs and numbers that are often not present in other reproductions of the poem.
