This is an allegorical painting that depicts an image of the Polish knights of old in their glorious reign with a large capital letter 'Y.' The Y means why? This is the first maquette for a manuscript of collages made from colored photographs that curry continues to edit. curry noted in a letter to the Sackners that many of the pieces in this copy will not be included in the final version. Some of the pic have been published but many have not. This copy was made for David UU who wanted to see the entire series. The book "Wolves at the Door" was composed by mike dobbie with drawings by nick james & jeff nuttall. 10p. It was published by poet & peasant books. 8 findhorn ave, hayes, m'sex.; the signed edition available at £1.00. The book is long out of print but the Sackners managed to purchase a copy in 2015. mike dobbie was the editor of Fiz and the Sackner Archive holds issues No.1 & 2.
