This is a facsimile reprint of Malevich's visual essay illustrating the major elements and paintings in suprematism, 1915 to 1920. It was originally lithographed from the stone on the art school presses of UNOVIS at Vitebsk in December 1920. Kostelanetz defines 'Text-sound' to mean "language unspecific in pitch, which coheres in terms of sound, rather than syntex or semantics." This book consists of scores, manifestos, self-interviews, scripts, performance instructions, critical essays, and theoretical remarks. In Walter Abish's three page story, "Auctioning Australia," all the words begin with the letter 'a.' Kenneth King's "Word Raid" consists of seven pages of tongue twisters.
